Here’s why we’re attracted to (LED) lights:
- They are way more energy and cost efficient.
- LED bulbs last around 25,000 hours, while standard incandescent bulbs get 1,500
- Though LED bulbs are more expensive up front, for one LED’s productivity you need 17 ordinary bulbs
- They are better for the environment.
- They emit 80% less greenhouse gases than standard bulbs
- They conserve 80% more energy than traditional bulbs (and lessen the energy demand)
- They reduce light pollution
Though actually LED bulbs don’t attract insects, let’s say in the image above that the moths are drawn to the concept and benefits those bulbs provide. We certainly are.
