Reshaping Mobility with Zero Emission Vehicles

Ultra Motors rendition

Green.org sits down with Andrey Zinoviev, the CEO of Ultra Motors, to learn how they are reshaping mobility with zero-emission vehicles.

Andrey, thank you for being here. Tell us a little bit about you and your background:

I am a clean tech and sustainable mobility evangelist making my contribution to carbon-neutral transportation. I am a serial tech entrepreneur, Silicon Valley startup founder, 500 Startups and boost.vc alum. I have been featured in NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, Inc and other media. I often speak at Stanford University and the Venture Beat conference. I studied finance at London School of Economics and law at Queen Mary University of London.

What is a fun fact about you?

As a kid, I loved to impersonate Jim Carey impersonating someone else.

Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?

As a civilisation, we grow our energy consumption month over month and leave little room for healthy life of our children is go burning more and more coal and oil. Our time is very limited.

What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?

In 10 years, trucks will longer make 25% of transportation pollution and 7% of all man-made CO2 emissions. These numbers will drop 5-fold. How can we get there?

1. Accelerate adoption of battery electric delivery and short-haul trucks (relatively easy)

2. Build a sustainable and commercially sound(!) powertrain for long-hauls (hard)

3. Create fueling / charging infrastructure for sustainable trucks (not very hard but capital-intense)

What can the average person do to make a difference?

Ride a bicycle, use public transport and buy everyday goods from sustainable brands and platforms.

Thank you Andrey, for sharing how you are reshaping mobility with zero-emission vehicles.
