Tell us a bit about the product or solution you offer.
Blue Ocean Future (BOF) has developed an area-based methodology for sustainable development, integrated into our geospatial information systems (GIS) and data science platform. The purpose of the platform is to facilitate the creation of multi-stakeholder projects and attract large-scale financing.
BOF’s platform establishes a baseline in the blue and green economy by assessing the area’s natural capital and economic state, generating integrated multi-layered indexes that track progress in biodiversity, carbonization/decarbonization, economic, and human development.
Utilizing a capitalization methodology with standardized measurements across elements, stakeholders can generate comparative optimization scenarios and strategies, allowing for measurement, reporting, and validation against projected outcomes and insights into local, regional, and global impacts.
Share a green success story with us – how have you helped customers or other businesses in the fight against climate change?
I enjoy helping young entrepreneurs through their entrepreneurship journey, helping them to transform their concept into a business.
I am currently a mentor at Sustainable Ocean Alliance and Harvard Innovation Labs.
With the latter I have mentored an outstanding team which won the Harvard Presidential Innovation award.
What would you do with $1 billion dollars?
I would create an accelerator to develop all the green and social promising technologies.
What do you envision your industry looking like in ten years?
I guess we will measure much more elements, causes, consequences and mutual influences related to nature, and climate change, and will hopefully be able to mitigate them.
