Green Success Stories shines the Green Spotlight on Anastassia Nefedova of Regenerate. Regenerate utilizes cutting-edge photovoltaics to make a substantial impact in three crucial areas: climate action, economic empowerment, and environmental restoration.

Tell us a bit about the product or solution you offer.
Regenerate is a pioneering climate tech company committed to the restoration of nature’s ecosystems. With a focus on innovative ecovoltaics, we concentrate on enhancing wildlife habitats and implementing regenerative agriculture practices. Our efforts in improving soil quality and promoting biodiversity not only support our clients’ moves toward decarbonization but also build a sustainable foundation for generations to come.
At the heart of Regenerate is a vision for transformative societal change, driven by our commitment to make a substantial impact in three crucial areas: climate action, economic empowerment, and environmental restoration.
In our pursuit of societal net-zero climate goals, Regenerate specializes in renewable energy through agrivoltaics. Utilizing solar power not only aids in decarbonizing the electrical grid but also offers a sustainable energy solution for energy-intensive projects in remote locations. This initiative is pivotal to the global shift toward a sustainable and carbon-neutral future.
Regenerate also focuses on generating economic value in rural and minority communities. By merging climate-focused education with hands-on employment opportunities, we equip local populations with the necessary skills for solar installation and resource conservation. This approach promotes economic sustainability and growth within these communities, embodying Regenerate’s dedication to reinvestment and fostering equitable, inclusive progress.
Our agrivoltaic projects integrate pollinator habitat restoration and regenerative agriculture with solar energy production, directly addressing soil degradation and ecosystem damage. These efforts not only affirm our commitment to regenerative practices but also significantly enhance biodiversity conservation, underscoring the vital link between environmental health and sustainable development.

Share a green success story with us – how have you helped customers or other businesses in the fight against climate change?
Climate change and biodiversity loss are pressing global challenges that are intricately connected, posing serious risks to our planet. In North America, biodiversity has seen a worrying 33% decline, a trend that is expected to persist unless decisive actions are taken to restore natural ecosystems while also managing the competing demands of land use effectively.
Landowners face a complex landscape of sustainability options, often grappling with opposing needs that make land management decisions difficult. At Regenerate, we guide our customers through this maze, helping them achieve optimal outcomes that not only mitigate their climate impact but also offer economic benefits. Our approach is rooted in creating solutions that foster community resilience and environmental sustainability.
By focusing on both biodiversity restoration and the strategic use of land, we empower landowners to make informed decisions that contribute to their economic stability and advance broader environmental goals. Our initiatives help transform landscapes into thriving ecosystems that support both human and wildlife communities, demonstrating that economic development and environmental health can go hand in hand.
Regenerate’s commitment extends beyond simple conservation efforts. We implement cutting-edge technologies and strategies that revitalize ecosystems, enhance soil health, and promote biodiversity, all while supporting the shift toward a more sustainable and equitable future. By partnering with us, landowners not only become stewards of the land but also leaders in the fight against climate change, setting a powerful example for sustainable development worldwide.

What would you do with $1 billion dollars?
1. Invest in scaling methane capture & use
2. Build a catalyst fund to convert conventional agriculture into regenerative to foster nutritious, chemical-free food systems accessible to all
3. Lobby for tax on processed & fast food, sugary drinks, alcohol, tobacco, single-use plastic, and petrochemicals – use that money to fund missing climate transition financing worldwide

What do you envision your industry looking like in ten years?
In 10 years, I see our industry reaching grid parity, where renewable technologies become more cost-effective than traditional fossil-fuel-based energy generation. I foresee a significant shift towards regenerative agriculture becoming more prevalent than conventional methods. This transition will contribute to a healthier and happier population, bolster the resilience of our natural ecosystems, and facilitate the restoration of clean waterways and natural systems. This future will not only redefine our relationship with the environment but also ensure sustainable growth and development across the globe.
