Tell us a bit about your sustainability journey.
I’m an engineer and climate activist turned tech founder. My love for the planet evolved into a deep sense of responsibility, which led me to organize climate strikes, environmental clean-ups, and advocacy work across Europe and the U.S.
Climatize was born from that activism. My co-founder and I saw that people care deeply about climate change but often feel powerless. We set out to change that by empowering people to take tangible action and directly support clean energy projects.
Tell us a bit about the product or solution you offer.
Climatize is an SEC-registered climate fintech platform that enables anyone to invest in renewable energy projects starting from just $10. We focus on the types of projects that traditional financiers often overlook — solar, battery storage, energy efficiency, and EV charging at the community scale — where impact is highest. Our platform connects investors directly to vetted projects, to make climate action accessible, transparent, and scalable.
Share a green success story with us – how have you helped customers or other businesses in the fight against climate change?
To date, Climatize has funded $10 million across 22 clean energy projects. One of our proudest moments has been supporting farmers in the U.S. South to install solar, reducing their energy bills, protecting them from outages during hurricanes like Helene and Milton, and helping them fight food deserts in their communities.
These projects not only cut CO2 emissions but also strengthen local resilience to climate impacts.
What would you do with $1 billion dollars?
I’d deploy it to finance distributed clean energy projects in underserved communities worldwide, focusing on solar, storage, EV charging, and efficiency upgrades. This would accelerate emissions reductions, create local jobs, and bring affordable, clean power to those who need it most — while proving that climate solutions can be both profitable and equitable.
What would you like readers to take away from this article?
That climate action is not only possible — it’s investable. Everyone has a role to play, and even small contributions can add up to transformative change when we work together.
