Green.org sat down with Ayse Yazir, Global Head of Origination at BenchMark Advisor, to learn about how their legal team is going sustainable.
Ayse, thank you for being here. Tell us a little bit about you and your background:
I am working as a global head of origination at a leading funder, Bench Walk Advisor, in London. I have a Turkish and an English law degree, a masters and I am also a chartered insurer.
What is a fun fact about you?
I love doing stand up comedy. I won the UK and Ireland humorous speech championship.
Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?
Global warming is a serious concern. While a part of the world suffering with heatwave the other part is flooded. To stop this we need to take necessary steps.
What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?
We are trying to not to print anything and recycling is very important for us. We will go full paperless in next few months.
What can the average person do to make a difference?
A lot. A person can also inform the other people around them. A person can change the world or ruin it.
