Going Green sits down with Dennis James Amoroso, the President of Plant Nutrition Tech to discuss his ambitious goals for creating the next generation of technology for growing healthy, disease free and pest resistant plants, and what it’s like to be a cleantech entrepreneur.

Dennis spent almost two decades developing environmentally sensitive, non-toxic technology processes and business operations. Involved in Waste Ore Processing Technology Research and Development; Researched the demand for ecologically sound technology for use in the processing of low grade and waste material from goldfields and mine waste dumps in many areas of the world, finding the demand to be effectively unlimited.

He led the construction, and operations of the AMPI pilot plant and management team for the research and development of the company’s patented processing technology. He has extensive experience in agriculture as well as mining and is a former instructor at the U.S. Air Force Technical Instructor Academy.

Let’s get to know Dennis Better. Dennis, thanks for being here today. Can you tell us a little bit about you and your background:

For the past 27 years I and my team, which includes Dr. Leonard Nanis a renowned Chemical Engineer, have completed the development of a 100% Natural Fertilizer which we have a patent on and is Registered and Certified with the California Dept of Food and Agriculture.

We have been able to achieve this because of my childhood in farming in Watsonville, Sacramento, Walla Walla Washington, and Coeur d Alene Idaho. I’m a grandfather with a new granddaughter as of yesterday and I have three grown sons who are all very successful; a former Navy Seal and Naval Intelligence operative, an Applied Physicist who has his own laboratory, and an Army Administrator who wants to be President of these United States.

What is a fun fact about you?

I taught Fighter Jet Weapons Systems in the US Air Force and failure is NOT an option in my world. I also grew up riding and breaking horses for the cattlemen of the Sacramento region of California. I have also written a SciFi Novel called Crystal City; The Warriors of Escalor. It is a story about becoming a better race of people.

Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?

Survival of the Human Race. I want my great grand children to be able to breathe and drink the water. The renewal of our Planet needs to be the very highest priority on everyone’s mind. Profit and stocks and even taxes are useless if we can’t feed our own children. We intend to help feed the Planet.

What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?

In 10 years we will be a multi national 500 billion dollar company that removes 100 million tons of greenhouse gases annually from our atmosphere on a global scale. NOTE: Do the research. You will find that what I say is quite feasible based on the fact that we use rock powder and biochar in our fertilizer.

PoweRoc’s organic fertilizer

What can the average person do to make a difference?

Use our product called PoweRoc and BioRoc on their front lawn. They will remove 75 pounds of CO2 for every square foot of lawn or garden every month. The possibility exists that they can become a carbon neutral or even a carbon negative family simply by taking this action.

Going Green wants to thank Dennis for sharing his experience working as a cleantech entrepreneur.
