Rajeshwar Bachu, founder of Zero-Carbon

Green.org sat down with Rajeshwar Bachu, founder of Zero-Carbon, to learn how he combined entrepreneurship, sustainability, and technology.

Rajeshwar, thank you for being here. Tell us a little bit about your background.

I have a diverse background with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, sustainability, and technology. My journey began with a passion for sustainable practices and climate action. Over the years, I’ve engaged with startups, mentored countless entrepreneurs, and immersed myself in sustainability initiatives. This journey eventually led to the founding of Zero-Carbon, where I’m dedicated to the mission of creating a green and sustainable digital world.

What would you do with $1 billion dollars?

If I were to come into possession of $1 billion, I’d channel a significant portion of it into accelerating sustainable technology and environmental preservation projects. This would involve supporting startups dedicated to eco-friendly innovations, investing in renewable energy initiatives, and funding research in climate change mitigation. Additionally, I’d allocate funds to raise awareness about sustainability and climate action, because, in the end, real change requires both financial resources and a shift in public consciousness.

Why do you think sustainability is such an important topic today?

Sustainability is paramount in our current times. We are faced with pressing environmental challenges, and it’s no longer a choice but a necessity to embrace sustainable practices. Our planet’s resources are finite, and the consequences of ignoring sustainability are becoming increasingly evident. Sustainability is a blueprint for the survival of our planet and a thriving future for generations to come.

What do you envision your industry looking like in ten years?

In a decade, I envision our industry undergoing a profound transformation. The physical and digital worlds will be intricately interwoven with sustainability, including content creation, streaming, and technology. We will witness the widespread adoption of eco-friendly practices, with energy-efficient data centres, carbon-neutral streaming, and content created with minimal environmental impact. The industry will lead in driving global sustainability, setting an example for others to follow.

Rajeshwar, thank you for sharing how you have combined entrepreneurship, sustainability, and technology, to help make the planet a better place.
