Troy Helming is the CEO and Founder of EarthGrid, a Public Benefit Corporation that is revolutionizing our nation’s energy systems through technology and tunnels!

The vision of EarthGrid is to build a subterranean network of tunnels to rapidly eliminate fossil fuels, reach 100% renewable energy, and offer quantum ultra-high-speed Internet, sustainable clean water, wastewater, transportation & delivery services.

Let’s get to learn more about this innovative company and it’s founder, Troy Helming.

Tell us a little bit about you, your background, and your current role:

I’m a Unicorn Founder, a seasoned entrepreneur with 4 exits, all of them in clean energy infrastructure. One of my driving goals is to save the US economy over $1 Trillion per year by eliminating our dependence on dirty fossil fuels.Companies I founded have created over $35 Billion of asset value & economic impact. I’m a published author, public speaker, inventor with over 40 patent claims, elite athlete, yogi, wellness nut, and family man. My current role is founder & CEO of EarthGrid, a ClimateTech infrastructure company which will be my biggest company yet and have the biggest impact on humanity and climate.

What is a fun fact about you?

I’ve been invited to compete on NBC’s hit show American Ninja Warrior four times (2018-2021, Seasons 10-13).

Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?

No one can deny that climate change is happening and is harming society economically, emotionally, and physically. The economic toll is scary enough, and the signs are clear enough; the number of hardcore skeptics is shrinking steadily to a fringe element. The majority of people are worried about the future if we don’t act. Those of us who are paying attention realize we need to take immediate & massive action.

planet earth

What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?

Solar will dominate all forms of energy generation, with wind a strong 2nd place. And to support that growth, trillions of dollars will have been invested in infrastructure such as transmission lines.

What can the average person do to make a difference?

Sign up for green power with their utility or put solar on their roof, buy an EV, purchase sustainable products & services, switch from natural gas to electric heating (water, air, stove), and make energy efficiency upgrades to their home (smart thermostats, LED lights, etc.)
