We sat down with Lea Eden M., the CEO of Eden Global Impact Group. Eden Global Impact Group provides clean technologies and help companies, institutions and governments, resolve the issues of non sustainable practices and to transit from the old overrated grid to the smart grid. Lea Eden shares with us her mission of helping businesses transition to more sustainable practices.
Tell us a little bit about you and your background:
I am an international entrepreneur, political scientist and diplomacy expert, futurist and clean-tech enthusiast. I was the head of communications and diplomacy at the Worldbank-Gaia platform in Africa, and have founded, launched and successfully completed a few projects and ventures in sustainability around the planet, especially in Latin America, Asia and Africa.
My expertise extends over many fields including political science, arts and sciences, holistic health, clean tech, sustainable management, fair trade, economics, sustainable development, international affairs, diplomacy and communication.
What is a fun fact about you?
I am also a surfer, model and toured the world, performing and playing music in the world’s biggest festivals on week-ends as a hobby and second profession.
Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?
According to the latest UNFCC report, we have 8 years before reaching the point of no return in term of climate change . The emergency is very real and tangible and unless we change our production modes, we will be facing the biggest crisis that humanity has ever faced: A climate chain reaction of events that will be unstoppable, no matter what we do.
This is why It is extremely crucial to act now , to reduce CO2 emissions and industrial pollution around the world. At Eden Global Impact Group, we have more than 380 clean technologies in all industries . We look forward to disrupt the current economic system by introducing our technologies and replacing all polluting ones with clean ones that reduce pollution and CO2 emissions. Its time to unite all agents of the private and public sectors to implement positive changes and save our beautiful blue planet before It is too late.
What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?
It will definitely be the most powerful industry ,with so many investments and green funds being created and over 46 billions dollars invested in the next 3 years. The Green revolution is happening now and It is already taking over the world, so now is the perfect moment to invest in this market, create wealth and save the planet!
What can the average person do to make a difference?
We can all partake the change by changing our buying and consumption habits , by choosing green ecological and ethically made products. I also recommend that everyone joins an environmental group and start action locally in their communities. Investing in Clean technologies and sustainability is also a great way to intervene.
