Tell us a little bit about you, your background, and your current role:
My name is Avery Michaelson, UCapture’s CEO. I’m an environmental entrepreneur who started my career in investment banking. I’m passionate about implementing market-based solutions to address the world’s biggest challenges. My background in finance and institutional sales compliment my high-energy leadership approach and conviction that UCapture is the system-change the world needs to solve the climate crisis. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and I frequently speak at environmental and financial conferences.
Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?
We know what’s causing global warming – man-made greenhouse gas emissions – like carbon dioxide and methane. However, until we can fully decarbonize our economy, CO2 emissions will be a part of life. This presents us with a dilemma as consumers.
We know our consumption causes CO2 emissions, which leads to global warming – but what can we do to solve this?
