Dr. Daniel Farb, CEO and Founder of Flower Turbines

Green Success Stories sat down with Dr. Daniel Farb, CEO and Founder of Flower Turbines. Dr. Farb has a passion for combining a clean world and beauty–which led to the creation of the Tulip, the main product of his renewable energy company. He has worked as an executive, ophthalmologist, and inventor. Daniel has unique knowledge and experience in science and medicine, communications and writing, computers, media, and business.

Who is Dr. Daniel Farb?

Dr. Daniel Farb the CEO and Founder of Flower Turbines, a renewable energy company whose aim is to use new ideas in aerodynamics to make small wind turbines much more useful around the world. Flower Turbines was recently named by Pepperdine University Business School in its annual survey as one of the 10 most fundable companies in the US out of 4500 examined. Dr. Farb has written hundreds of books and CD programs in management and healthcare, and he is an inventor with many patents primarily focused on renewable energy. He also started a company called Leviathan Energy to develop my market-changing innovations in wind, hydroelectric, tidal, and wave energy. All of his companies have won a variety of awards and recognition for the technologies. Daniel’s main goal is to make a better and cleaner world through more effective use of the natural gifts of our planet.

Daniel, thank you for being here. Tell us a little bit about you and your background:

I have extensive experience in renewable energy. I have degrees in business, science, and literature, and my startup and corporate sales experience has allowed me to become a high achiever in multiple fields. I’ve written over 50 patents and 100 books. I believe my company, Flower Turbines, has the potential to become as big as solar is today.

What is a fun fact about you?

I’m an avid fan of the outdoors but grew up in Manhattan. Maybe I liked the canyons there.

Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?

Even if you don’t believe there is climate change, at least you can agree that there is pollution, and we are squandering our resources by using petrochemicals for fuel instead of for medicines, clothing, etc. I do believe that climate change is causing unusual storms, loss of natural environments, etc.

What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?

Small turbines will be everywhere. My company will be a trillion dollar company leading the field in wind energy close to people and buildings.

What can the average person do to make a difference?

Invest in our company! Watch their consumption. Try to become energy independent. Recycle.

Daniel, thank you for being here today. We appreciate you sharing your background in wind turbines.
